There is something special happening at New Growth Project right now.
Our employees are back in the greenhouse, settling into their routines, reconnecting with one another, and stepping back into meaningful work. There are handshakes, laughter, familiar rhythms—and a sense of belonging that is hard to put into words but easy to feel.
For many of the adults we serve, this isn’t just a place to work. It’s a place to be known. To be needed. To be part of something.
And thanks to your support, we’ve been able to hire more staff this year, allowing us to expand opportunities and better serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.

Farm Social: Tickets Close April 8
In just a few weeks, we’ll gather at the Grand Rapids Public Museum for an unforgettable evening celebrating stories like the ones unfolding in our greenhouse right now.
This is not your typical fundraiser.
It’s an experience.
• Explore the museum through the Golden Tablet game- giving you a chance to win a prize valued at $800 • Encounter roaming live characters throughout the museum • Bid on incredible auction items, including: – A boat cruise on Lake Michigan – A Yellowstone getaway with a stay in Red Lodge, Montana – And more surprises you won’t want to miss
All while supporting meaningful employment and independence for adults in our program.
Tickets must be purchased by April 8. They are limited—and we expect to sell out. Be sure to enroll in the mobile app for easy communication.

🌱 From the Greenhouse
While we wait (impatiently) for warmer weather, the greenhouse is full of life.
Our team is back to regular shifts—planting, preparing, and building momentum for the season ahead. There’s something powerful about watching both plants and people grow at the same time.
Don't forget you can purchase our vegetables through our CSA Memberships, Farm Store, and online through Locavana. Farmer Jordan thinks we will have produce by May!

Welcome to the Team
We’re excited to welcome Kim Haskins as our new Events Manager.
Kim brings years of fundraising experience and currently serves as a permanent substitute special education teacher—making her uniquely suited to help us grow both our events and our mission.
With Kim on board, we’re looking forward to expanding micro-events at the farm this summer, creating even more opportunities for the community to experience New Growth Project firsthand.

💚 Why It Matters
Every ticket purchased, every donation given, and every moment spent on this farm creates something bigger than a harvest.
- It creates opportunity.
- It builds confidence.
- It forms community.
We see it every day—and we can’t wait to share it with you at Farm Social.
