Save the Dates: Spring is Coming!

News From The Farm

Hello friends,

It may be snow-covered, but spring is starting to whisper around the farm, and we have some meaningful milestones and exciting dates to share with you.

🌟 Save the Date: Farm Social — April 17

We’re thrilled to announce our annual Farm Social on April 17 at the Grand Rapids Museum. This signature fundraiser brings together community, creativity, and our shared belief that everyone deserves a place to belong. More details (and ticket info!) coming soon — for now, mark your calendar.

🌸 Season Opening Day — May 9 | 9:00–1:00

Join us at the farm for our Season Opening Day on May 9 from 9:00–1:00. We’ll be celebrating with:

  • Plants, flowers, flower pots & hanging baskets
  • Thoughtful gifts for Mom
  • Local goods that support meaningful employment

It’s one of our favorite days of the year — hope to see you there!

💚 A Milestone Worth Celebrating

Thanks to you, we surpassed 2,000 hours of participation in our Peer Mentor Program in 2025. This incredible milestone was made possible by our community partners, donors, and customers who believe in creating supportive, purpose-filled work environments for adults with disabilities. Your support truly fuels this work.

🥕 CSA Memberships Still Available for 2026

There’s still time to join our 2026 CSA season! When you become a CSA member, you’re not just getting fresh, chemical-free produce — you’re investing in dignity, independence, and community.

Pickup and delivery options include:

  • Farm pickup
  • Archival Brewing
  • Romence Gardens
  • Home delivery with Locavana

Spots are limited, and we’d love to have you grow with us this season. Click on the button below to learn more.

Interns and Seasonal Employment

At New Growth Project, we offer unique opportunities for college students to gain real-world experience through our internship program. We are actively accepting resumes for the 2026 season for peer mentors, farm hands, CSA support, and farm market management internships. Learn how to work alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, how to grow chemical-free food, farm and CSA management, and so much more. Send resumes to: info@thenewgrowthproject.org

Thank you for being part of the New Growth Project community — your support continues to make a real impact every single day.

With gratitude, Christine & Carly
