While Michigan's weather can’t quite decide what season it is, our greenhouse has already moved on.

Seeds are planted. Trays are filling. Tiny green sprouts are pushing through the soil like they know something exciting is coming.

And they’re right.

Spring is closer than it feels — and so are some important dates.

🎤 Meet Our Farm Social MC: Matt Muscat We’re thrilled to announce that Matt Muscat will serve as our MC for Farm Social at the Grand Rapids Public Museum! If you know Matt, you know three things: 1️⃣ He’s a New Growth Project board member who deeply believes in our mission. 2️⃣ He runs a marketing business and serves as Marketing Director at Treadstone Funding — so yes, he knows how to energize a room. 3️⃣ He is a robust CSA member who starts counting down the days to fresh vegetables sometime around February. Matt doesn’t just support New Growth Project — he lives it. His family eagerly awaits those first summer deliveries, and he’s often the first to share his enthusiasm about heirloom tomatoes, basil, and whatever surprise ends up in the box. We can’t think of a better person to guide us through an evening of adventure, celebration, and storytelling at the Museum.

💚 Growth Beyond the Fields

As we prepare for 2026, we’re focused on strengthening our team to better support our peer mentor program. Our goal is to create more consistency, more opportunity, and more meaningful employment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.

We’re also expanding our partnership with Locavana to make it easier than ever to access our vegetables and handcrafted goods throughout West Michigan.

And we’re launching the Farm Market Delivery initiative—a corporate nutrition program that brings vegetables and pantry goods directly to workplaces, supporting healthy lifestyles while investing in inclusive employment.

Healthy teams. Inclusive workplaces. Purpose-driven food.
