2025: A Year Filled with Growth & Gratitude

The Weekly Harvest

We’re Ending 2025 on a High Note — Thanks to You!

Dear Friends of New Growth Project,

As we close the books on 2025, we want to take a moment to pause, reflect, and say thank you. This year was nothing short of transformational—and it’s because of YOU.

New This Week:

Fund the Farm: Goal Crushed!

Because of your generosity, we not only met but surpassed our $60,000 goal for our year-end Fund the Farm campaign. Your support ensures we head into 2026 with the resources to strengthen our peer mentor program, hire additional staff, and continue creating meaningful job opportunities for adults with intellectual and cognitive disabilities.

You didn’t just fund the farm—you fortified our mission. Thank you.

Our Harvest Partner Sponsors Made This Year Possible

We're incredibly grateful for the amazing companies that invested in our mission in 2025:

  • Integrated Packaging Machinery (IPM) – our Lead Sponsor
  • Meijer
  • Fishbeck
  • Cavallo

Their financial support, cross-marketing, and help in hosting mobile farmers markets expanded our reach and strengthened our roots.

Event Sponsors = Impact Multiplied

From the Farm Social to our sold-out Chef Dinner in the Field to the heartwarming Fund the Farm our fundraising events brought our mission to life—and raised vital funds.

We couldn’t have done it without the generous support of:

  • Dan & Tia Hooper
  • Treadstone Funding & Neighborhood Loans
  • Tammy Dykema-Halloran, Realtor
  • BelCo
  • Locavana
  • Applied Innovation
  • Lake Michigan Insurance Agency – Ken Jansen
  • Fratercangelli Wealth Management
  • Jacobson Heating & Cooling

You brought the “fun” to fundraising!

Volunteers Are Our Secret Sauce

From planting in February to packing CSA bags in October, our volunteers kept this farm running. The many group volunteers who spent a morning or afternoon with us helped us manage all the work in the fields. Our partnership with Guiding Light has opened a door to a special connection that fills our buckets and helps us get projects completed. A special thank you to Robin, Nicky, Char, and Jeanne—your weekly presence, kindness, and support were felt across the farm. We honestly couldn’t do what we do without our community of helpers.

The Game-Changer:

Fox Motors + NGP

A heartfelt thank you to Fox Motors for its Drive for $25 campaign, which raised over $33,000 for NGP. Their belief in our mission changed the trajectory of our fourth quarter and allowed us to dream bigger for 2026. In addition, the Share the Love campaign with Subaru is ongoing. WE ARE FEELING THE LOVE!

We are grateful for the partnership and their commitment to local impact.

🌱 What’s Next in 2026?

With your support, we’re heading into 2026 ready to grow—again. Our goal is to strengthen our team, enhance the consistency of our program, and reach even more individuals in need of opportunity and meaningful work.

We’re excited. We’re ready. And we’re so glad you’re with us.

❤️ Thank You, From All of Us at New Growth Project

2025 was a year of literal and figurative growth—and you were part of it. Every dollar, every hour volunteered, every kind word, and every CSA pickup matters.

Here’s to purpose, inclusion, and another year of growing something good—together.

With gratitude and big dreams,

Christine, Carly, and The New Growth Project Team

P.S. 🥗 Bonus: A Festive Veggie Dish to Celebrate the Season

Looking to balance out the cookies? Here’s a beautiful, healthy side dish for your holiday table:

Roasted Winter Veggie Medley

  • 1 cup cubed butternut squash
  • 1 cup chopped kohlrabi
  • 1/2 cup pearl onions (or shallots)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, pepper, thyme

Toss everything together and roast at 400°F for 35–40 minutes. It’s colorful, cozy, and good for the soul (and your digestion!).
